About the English Major

Hello Everyone!

My  name is Amber and I am an Integrated Language Arts major. Basically this is a fancy term for High School English Education. After I graduate in the spring of 2012, I plan on becoming an English teacher, preferably in grades 10-12. The reason my blog is called "Wanna-Be-English-Major" is because at my University, none of the English majors believe we ILA majors are English majors. But oh well :)

Let's see what else is there to introduce about myself? Oh yes! I love music! My tastes are generally wide open to different genre's of music. The only exception to this rule is heavy metal, I am not a fan of this. My favorite music, however; is show tunes. I love love LOVE Broadway music and it is constantly playing on my iPod all the time. Because of my passion for music, I have tried to test the waters with my musical ability. I played the piano for three years, flute for four years, and piccolo for two years. I also try and sing, but mainly to my steering wheel!

My interests.. hmm. Well pretty much anything you would expect from an English teacher/Broadway lover. They include: reading, writing, singing, acting, dancing like no ones watching, etc. etc. For now, I think that is all there is to say! So check out my blog and follow along with my exciting life :)
